Garima has a Master's degree in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics and over twelve years of experience. She started her career in 2010 as a Business Analyst for Hewlett Packard, supporting the sales and marketing team to improve the impact of marketing efforts and other campaigns.

Garima transitioned to the development sector in 2015 as Manager for Monitoring and Evaluation at Justice Ventures International (JVI), which works on improving access to justice for victims of human trafficking and other extreme injustices. In her seven years at JVI, Garima built the organisation's M&E system, led program planning and monitoring, and institutionalised data-driven case management. Garima has been a key contributor to the organisation's ripple effect framework, strategy, and impact framework.
